Punch

Strega is Italian for “witch,” and it’s also the name of the little machine you see me using. It’s a mean little thing that does a lot of weird and sometimes harsh-sounding stuff. There are touch pads that you can trigger with your fingers, and by touching a square and round one (or ones) at the same time, your fingers complete a circuit that makes different kinds of sounds happen. Someone somewhere (I’m sorry: I don’t remember where I saw this originally, but it really was something I invented) realized that you could trigger these touch pads with a patch cable that is plugged into one of the Strega’s many inputs. Then the witch can make some magic happen. These are all raw sounds coming out of the Strega; I only put some reverb on it to juice up the sound a bit, and that’s all.
